After a crowd-pleasing run on Broadway as Roxie Hart in the musical "Chicago" and sending her character Chardonnay Pitts on "The Game" off into the sunset — Brandy has set her sights even higher.
The multi-talented actor and R&B singer, 36, lends her sultry voice to "A Classic Holiday…Presented by MBK," a compilation of Christmas songs featuring the likes of Justine Skye, Gabi Wilson, Tyrese and Alicia Keys.
"The song [I contributed] is called 'One Voice," Brandy told the Daily News. "It was on my 'Never Say Never' album."
The 1998 album, known for tracks including "Angel in Disguise" and "Have You Ever?" saw the growth of Brandy from teen star to introspective artist.
Hopping on the project was a no-brainer for Brandy who counts Christmas as one of her favorite holidays.
"I love spending Christmas at my home. I have trees and decorations and my mother cooks and we all hang out and open presents," she said. "I love when my family is all together — my daughter, brother, dad and my mom."
After the holidays are over, Brandy will be back in the saddle as Zoe Moon on her new BET sitcom, "Zoe Ever After," premiering on BET on Jan. 5.
"Zoe runs her own cosmetics line and it has been a dream of hers for a long time since she's been in the shadow of her ex-husband," Brandy said of her starring role. "I wanted to go out and set a strong example. It's relatable; I'm a single mom too."
The series will be Brandy's first time leading a show since "Moesha," which aired from 1996 to 2001.
"Something like that makes me nervous and excited," she said. "I believe in the show. It's natural to feel a little nervous."
Though it appears that she's focused on acting, fans craving a follow-up to 2012's "Two Eleven" should expect something soon.
"Music is definitely on the way and I'm going to do a lot of focusing on that in January," she said.
