Lil Wayne assured his fans Friday that his spirit and love will "never be confined to prison walls" - even though he's doing the better part of a year behind them.
The Grammy-winning rapper's upbeat message was posted on his new Web site - weezythanxyou.com - where a countdown clock showed late Friday night he had 215 days left in the hoosegow.
He was sentenced last month to a year for having a loaded gun on his tour bus, but is expected to get time off for good behavior.
Wayne, 27, said in his post he's in good spirits and thinks about his four children daily. "I just hope my love and adoration for them provides a temporary bandage on a wound I unknowingly inflicted on them."
