Bobby Shmurda Supports Hillary Clinton

Brooklyn-based rapper Bobby Shmurda is offering his support for Hillary Clinton.

The "Shmoney Dance" artist, who is currently incarcerated at Rockland County Jail, says he's pulling for the former New York senator in November's presidential election because he believes she'd lead with the general public's best interests in mind.

"I like Hillary more because she's into the people," Shmurda told Vibe magazine. "You know they've said that women can't run the country, but I feel like she's more independent. She's got a strong mind state."

The 21-year-old performer is far less enthused, however, by the prospects of bombastic GOP front-runner Donald Trump being voted into office.

"Donald Trump's an a--hole," he told the magazine, laughing. "I don't care, but he's an a--hole. I definitely don't want him as our president. The things that be coming out of his mouth is crazy."

Shmurda, aka Ackquille Pollard, has been imprisoned since December 2014 for allegedly being the "driving force" behind a Brooklyn gang connected to drug sales and shootings, according to authorities.

In January, he was denied a request to have his bail reduced to $2 million. His trial is scheduled to begin next month.
