Bobby Shmurda has another black mark on his record after pleading guilty to new charges Thursday.
The Brooklyn rapper admitted to Bronx Supreme Court Judge Marc Whitten that he tried to bring a “sharp metal object” into Rikers Island jail in 2015, according to Bossip.
Shmurda, 22, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of weapons possession in October and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
During the trial, he claimed that the gun he was caught carrying in 2014 was a prop for a rap video.
The new charges, one count of attempting to promote prison contraband, could be punishable by up to four years simultaneously as his current sentence, according to Bossip.
Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, reportedly told the judge that his friend, Kimberly Rousseau transferred the weapon inside a white latex glove balloon wrapped in tape during a jail visit.
Last year, the rapper’s mother, Leslie Pollard, said her son had been targeted for beatings, pepper sprayings and illegal lockdowns by Rikers Island guards.
Shmurda is expected to be sentenced next month.
