Bobby Brown is opening up about his ongoing journey through grief following the heartbreaking losses of two of his children, Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobby Brown Jr. During a candid appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the R&B icon reflected on how he continues to cope with the pain and find healing. Lots of prayer, first and foremost, that absolutely took me to the point where I accepted therapy in my life,” Brown told Hudson. “I accepted going to a therapist and really working out all of the issues that I had within me. Brown shared that leaning on loved ones has been essential. He emphasized the importance of relying on family members for emotional support when he “wasn’t feeling right and when times get hard. Brown also spoke about continuing to feel the presence of his children and the emotional balance required not to be overwhelmed by sorrow. “They’re still there because it doesn’t stop. It’s not like it just goes away,” he continued. “It’s gonna be with you forever, but it’s about dealing with it and really paying attention to yourself. Paying attention to how you’re feeling that day and letting somebody know how you’re feeling that day. You know, not keeping it inside.” Bobbi Kristina Brown, his daughter with the late Whitney Houston, passed away in 2015 at the age of 22 after being found unresponsive in a bathtub, a tragic parallel to her mother’s death. In 2020, Bobby Brown Jr., his son from a previous relationship, died from an accidental overdose involving alcohol, cocaine, and fentanyl. He was 28.
