Bloods Leader Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones Sentenced To 11 Years In Tekashi 6ix9ine Case

A Bloods leader who was caught on tape saying he wanted to “super violate” Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to more than 11 years behind bars Thursday — as the judge compared the rainbow-haired rapper to the Archbishop of Canterbury assassinated in 1170.

“You are literally telling your followers to go out and get Hernandez,” Judge Paul Engelmayer told Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones before sentencing him to 11 years and four months in prison for his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The judge quoted King Henry II of England in referencing Jones’ remarks on a wiretap that the rainbow-haired rapper should be “super violated.”

“Will someone rid me of this meddlesome priest?” Engelmayer said, mimicking Jones, who is known as the Nine Trey “godfather.”

The reference has long been quoted as an outburst from Henry II during his feud with the Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Beckett. Historians have said several knights interpreted the king’s cry as a call to action, then killed Beckett.

During the November 2018 call, Jones could be heard discussing with another rapper, Jim Jones, about how to respond to a radio interview in which Tekashi called his former crew a “fraud” and “dirty Bloods.”

“Super violated, super, super duper,” Jamel Jones said. “So ain’t too much he can really do unless he gonna run around with a hundred security all day.”

Jamel Jones pleaded guilty back in April to charges of conspiracy to commit racketeering and conspiracy to distribute narcotics.

The Nine Trey “godfather” — who faced up to 14 years on the charges — apologized Thursday in court.

“I’ve been trying to better my way of thinking I am only human,” he said. “I can’t go back and change what happened.”

He was arrested in November 2018 alongside the “Gummo” singer, who flipped on his former crew the next day to testify against fellow reputed Nine Trey members Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack.

Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, is set to be sentenced on gun and racketeering charges in December.
