Bill Cosby Was Denied Parole Earlier This Month

A Pennsylvania parole board denied convicted sex predator Bill Cosby’s bid to be released from prison earlier this month — because the disgraced comedian refused to complete a therapy program for violent sexual offenders.

The 83-year-old disgraced actor was turned down on May 11, a spokesperson for the parole board said Thursday.

The board denied Cosby’s parole for a host of reasons, including his failure to complete the treatment program and for not developing a “parole release plan.” Cosby also got a negative review from the state’s department of corrections.

“We knew he was going to be rejected. He called me and told me that if he didn’t take the course, he would be denied,” Cosby spokesperson Andrew Wyatt said.

The former Pudding Pops pitchman was given a three- to 10-year sentence in September 2018 after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in suburban Philadelphia in 2004.

Cosby had previously appealed his conviction, but was shot down by Pennsylvania’s Superior Court in December 2019.

The former “Cosby Show” star was convicted in 2018 on three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault for the attack on Constand. Some 60 other women have accused him of sexual misconduct.

His rep told TMZ on Thursday that he will continue to appeal his case and is hopeful the state Supreme Court will vacate his conviction and grant him a new trial.

“He has maintained his innocence from the beginning,” said Wyatt.
