Beyoncé Wins Emmy Winner For ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ Netflix Special

Beyoncé is officially a Primetime Emmy winner. The Television Academy announced the winners of the 77th Emmy Awards juried categories on Tuesday (Aug. 12), and Queen Bey took home the award for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming for her Netflix special, Beyoncé Bowl. She shared the honor with fellow costume designer Shiona Turini, assistant costume designers Erica Rice and Molly Peters, costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell, and head of workroom Timothy White. Juried awards are unique in that winners are selected by panels of industry peers, who evaluate each entry with the possibility of awarding one, multiple, or no Emmys at all The award will be formally presented during the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live on Sept. 6 and 7, while a pre-recorded broadcast will air on FXX on Sept. 13 at 8 P.M. PT.
