The only thing more anticipated than the Baz Luhrmann all-star remake of "The Great Gatsby," is the soundtrack to the film, produced by Jay-Z.
Now more exciting — or potentially enraging — music news for fans of Beyoncé and late singer Amy Winehouse: Jay-Z has called on his superstar wife to cover Winehouse's "Back to Black" for the "Gatsby" soundtrack.
According to E! News, the 31-year-old "Countdown" singer has teamed up with rapper Andre 3000 for the remake, which an industry source called, "a very different take" on the hit Winehouse song.
Beyoncé and Andre 3000 previously collaborated on her song "Party."
Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in 2011, at the age of 27. "Back to Black" was the title track of her most famous album, which earned her a slew of Grammy Awards in 2008 for its break out song "Rehab."
The film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey McGuire and Carey Mulligan, is set to open the Cannes Film Festival with its worldwide debut May 15.
