Three years after tying the knot with Jay-Z, Beyoncé has revealed what she wore down the aisle.
In a recently released video for her song “I Was Here,” which was filmed at New York’s Roseland Ballroom in August, the now-pregnant singer shares personal footage from her life onstage and off.
Beyoncé’s most memorable moments, including clips of her performing as a young girl, being a member of Destiny’s Child and singing with Tina Turner, are featured in the four-and-a-half minute video.
A quick glimpse shows the superstar wearing her never-before-seen wedding dress just moments before her April 2008 nuptials took place in NYC’s Tribeca neighborhood.
The elaborate white gown features a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice, with a dramatic ruffled train. Beyoncé is seen with a big smile on her face as she is being fitted into the dress.
The 30-year-old singer is currently expecting her first child with her rapper husband, 42.
Her new song’s touching lyrics add even more sentiment to the video: “I want to say I lived each day, until I die. And know that I meant something in somebody’s life. The hearts I have touched will be the proof that I leave that I made a difference, and this world will see … I was here. I lived, I loved.”
