Beyonce's baby bump is as real as they come.
The mom-to-be sat down to talk all things baby with Katie Couric during Friday night's 20/20, setting the record straight about her growing belly and debunking rumors that she's been using a surrogate while padding her stomach.
"You know, there are certain things that are so far, it doesn't even effect me," she told Couric. "I'm cool. It doesn't bother me."
But the star admitted that her mother Tina Knowles and sister Solange haven't been quite so calm.
"My mom is like, 'Nobody's talking about my grandbaby! My grandbaby's not ever here yet!" the singer said. "I was like, 'Calm down, mom! It's okay!' My mom and sister are so protective."
Knowles, 30, who announced she and husband Jay-Z were expecting their first child at the MTV Video Music Awards in July, was also quick to dismiss rumors about her crazy pregnancy cravings. She said that she's been trying hard "not to lose control" when it comes to maintaining good eating habits.
"I read that I like ketchup on everything...not true," she said. "I was on a plane and the flight attendant came and was like, 'I have your hot sauce and pickles and bananas.' I'm like, 'That is disgusting! What are you doing?' And he's like, 'I read it on the Internet.'"
One thing the star wouldn't reveal? The baby's sex. Like any good mom, she said she has no preference so long as it's healthy.
"I don't care. I just want--I'm just like everyone else. And now I know why people say that, it's true. I just want [a healthy baby]," she said.
As for the sleepless nights ahead of her, the expectant mother said she's ready.
"I know it's going to be difficult at times and I know that, like my mother, I'm going to get on my child's nerves, but it's all out of love and I'm just ready. I'm ready for the next chapter," she said.
