Not everyone’s in love with Beyoncé’s Grammys performance.
According to documents obtained by The Smoking Gun, the Federal Communications Commission received more than 40 indecency complaints following the airing of the 56th annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 26, and many of the letters zeroed in on the pop star’s risque performance of “Drunk in Love.”
Some of the letters complained about Beyoncé’s outfit, with one viewer claiming “she dressed like a prostitute.” Other letters were upset that her performance with husband Jay-Z aired during the family-friendly 8 o’clock hour.
“I want to ask Beyonce if it’s okay if I stick my butt in her childs (sic) face like she did mine?” complained another person.
But Beyoncé wasn’t the only person to draw ire from viewers of the awards show. Others took issue with the same-sex marriage ceremonies that Queen Latifah officiated during a performance of Macklemore & Lewis’ “Same Love,” with one letter writer expressing “pure disgust” while another claimed the telecast was “forcing the ‘gay agenda’ on the rest of us.”
Katy Perry also wasn’t immune to criticism, receiving flack for performing her single “Dark Horse” at the Grammys.
“I was...shocked by the overt summoning of Satan by Katy Perry,” a viewer wrote about Perry’s stage act, which saw her dressed as a witch and encircled in flames.
If they got their panties in a bunch over that, then they definately don't want to see this…..
