Common and John Legend’s upcoming Grammys performance is adding a little spice … Beyonce.
“We do have an incredible introduction to our performance,” Common told Us Weekly at the Tanqueray Trunk Show in New York City on Friday.
“A segue into our song ‘Glory,’ as a tribute to Selma, being done by the great Beyonce,” he continued.
Last year, Beyonce and husband Jay Z left a lasting impression with their sexy Grammys opening performance of “Drunk In Love.”
On Sunday, the 33-year-old singer will ditch the eroticism for activism and spirituality to sing “Take My Hand Precious Lord” before segueing into Legend and Common’s Oscar-nominated tune from the movie “Selma.”
“That’s one of the greatest talents you can have, helping us segue into it,” Common added. “To co-create a performance with someone like her. It’s good.”
While the Golden Globe winner was adamant about the details of his upcoming showcase with Legend and Queen Bey, the Recording Academy has yet to announce the performance.
The “Halo” singer’s longtime friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, is supposedly set to introduce her at music’s big night.
