Beyonce & Jay Z Lose Bidding War For Beverly Hills Mansion

Looks like The Carters have taken a rare “L.”

Beyonce and Jay Z were reportedly scouting a lavish Beverly Hills mansion, but were outbid by an unlikely – and very wealthy competitor. After reportedly visiting the property multiple times, the music power couple was beat out by Swedish billionaire Markus Persson. The 35-year-old video game programmer and creator of Minecraft dropped a cool $70 million cash after previously selling his company for $2.5 billion.

The 23,000 square-foot compound included eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms with toilets priced at $5,600 each. It also boasts a 16-car garage, backyard with a panoramic view, a large infinity pool and a movie theater, according to the Daily Mail.
