Today, FORBES’ hit us with their list of America’s Wealthiest Self-Made Women, and to no surprise, Beyoncé is part of the pack. At only 35-years-old, Queen Bey’s personal fortune is estimated to be $350 million. Last week, the finance mag reported Jay Z’s estimated net worth to be $810 million per last week’s ranking of hip-hop’s richest acts (watch out Diddy! Hov’s hot on your trail). That brings the couple to a combined net worth of $1.16 billion and counting!
In support of Beyoncé’s Lemonade album, which did exceptional on the charts, her Formation stadium tour raked in more than $256 million in ticket sales and merchandise across 49 dates in Europe and the US. And like every self-made woman, Beyoncé calls the shots in all of her creative endeavors. Her company Parkwood Entertainment serves as a fully functional media apparatus dabbling in everything from artist management to film making to fashion.
As everyone knows, Hov has put music on the back burner as of late in service of the many business ventures he’s juggling. Earlier this month, Mr. Carter secured a $200 million deal with touring company Live Nation. In addition, Sprint invested $200 million into TIDAL, boosting the streaming service to $600 million in worth. The Brooklyn-bred music mogul has many other business ventures including Roc Nation, Roc Nation Sports and the champagne brand Armand de Brignac, that also helped him reach elite status in the billionaires club.
This isn’t the first time reports of the Carters cashing into the billionaires club have been in the air. Back in 2013, publications like International Business Times dubbed them pop music’s first billionaire couple, but perhaps prematurely. Beyoncé’s Mrs. Carter tour, H&M collaboration and Jay’s 40/40 clubs were raking in major bucks at the time, but none of the revenue reports back then reported the net worth numbers that add up to a billi. With Forbes’ official calculations based on their actual income, you can now file this under facts only!
