Australian Huntsman Spider Drags Dead Mouse Up Refrigerator

This creepy clip of a monstrous eight-legger is certainly not for the faint-hearted — especially for arachnophobiacs.

The huntsman spider, found in Australia, was captured on video dragging a dead mouse up the side of a refrigerator, Fox Q13 reports.

The video comes from Jason Womal, who filmed the spider from his neighbor’s kitchen and posted it on Facebook.

The spider tries to lug the comparably heavy mouse up the fridge, and teeters side to side a bit before doing some heavy lifting.

The eerie clip’s been viewed nine million times, Q13 notes.

In his Facebook post, Womal wrote: “So I am just about to leave for work about 12:30 and me neighbor says ‘You want to see something cool’ and I say ‘hell yeah.’”

Womal continued, writing, “We have adopted him and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella.”

The spider has been named Hermie by Womal, and it’s not clear just how the spider got ahold of the mouse.
