AUGUST ALSINA GOES BLIND IN LEFT EYE!

While quickly becoming one of the biggest R&B stars in the game, August Alsina has quietly been dealing with a horrible eye disease, one that has left him blind in his left eye, and with deteriorating vision in his right. Thankfully, Alsina has undergone a surgery to ensure his vision will be maintained-- but it looks pretty damn terrifying.

The singer shared an image of the process on Instagram last night, where we see his eyes held open with metal clasps we didn't realize existed outside of A Clockwork Orange. Meanwhile, green light is being projected directly into his corneas. Alsina described the experience as "beyond painful," though he was mainly just thankful to no longer run the risk of going blind. While we weren't even aware of what he was dealing with, we're happy to hear he's found a solution.



"So I have this eye disease.. Blind in my left, and losing vision in my right. In order to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating ihad to do this surgery. This sh*t is beyond painful & Life be throwin' a nigxa curve balls but what I've gained from it all is priceless... A lot of things that are so natural to us in life (like waking up and being able to see ��) we can take it for granted. Thank God the OG for allowing me to see..
