Ashanti's Stalker Could Serve 4 Years In Jail

Prosecutors slapped Ashanti’s stalker Tuesday with heftier charges in a new indictment, a possible tactic to pressure him to plead guilty.

“They just make stuff up — that’s what happened!” Devar Hurd railed as he was served with the new charges.

“She just popped up with this!” he continued to gripe, referring to the charges filed by prosecutor Rachel Ehrhardt.

Ehrhardt told the judge that "there are additional felony contempt charges that Mr. Hurd is facing as well as, I believe, an additional misdemeanor contempt charge with respect to (Ashanti’s) sister."

"It's all pertinent to the same period of time that was in the first indictment," she added.

Hurd now faces up to four years in prison on multiple felony counts, as opposed to one on the original 2013 case.

He has previously rejected several plea offers, forcing the case to trial where he got to confront the star he's obsessed with because he was acting as his own attorney.

On Tuesday, Hurd had to be repeatedly silenced by an irked Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon, complained that both prosecutors and the judge have been unfair to him.

"I'm not for or against anyone. I'm completely neutral — like a referee in basketball or an umpire in baseball," Solomon said, schooling the wacky defendant.

Hurd was tried in December for stalking Ashanti Douglas and her family but a mistrial was declared because a juror got very sick in the middle of deliberations and the case could not continue.

The nutty Illinois native previously did two years in jail for a 2009 conviction in his creepy campaign against the Douglas family, including "momager" Tina Douglas and the star's younger sister Kenashia Douglas.

He sent sexually explicit photos of himself that were meant for the star and the delusional creep testified that he believed the images were welcomed.

The time behind bars did not set him straight and upon his release from Rikers Island, he quickly began contacting the singer and her sister on Twitter, prosecutors said.

Hurd, who has unwisely decided to represent himself, was also shut down by Solomon for asking for legal advice.

"I'm not explaining things to you -- it's your job to figure it out," Solomon said, telling Hurd to speak to his legal adviser Michael Fineman.

"Mr. Hurd believes this new indictment was procured because of the alleged victim's celebrity, and is not based on actual evidence," Fineman said after the hearing.

The case was adjourned for Hurd to challenge the counts in writing.
