ASAP Rocky Says He Was ‘Cold-Hearted’ Before Having Kids

Becoming a father changed ASAP Rocky’s life. In a new interview with W Magazine, the publication’s editor-at-large, Lynn Hirschberg, asked the rapper-turned-actor how having children has affected his outlook on life. “I am way more emotional,” Rocky responded. “Before the kids, I was probably cold-hearted. But now I’m a loving kind of fella. I’ve got a lot of love to give to the world.” the 37-year-old welcomed his third child with Rihanna, and their first daughter together, Rocki Irish Mayers. The couple also shares two sons, 3-year-old RZA and 2-year-old Riot. Rocky shared how being a father has impacted his artistry. "Being a father is my creative process now because I just embodied it as a whole. I never really had a role model or just an iconic figure," Rocky said on The Run-Through With Vogue podcast. "And I guess I'm that for people, and I didn't purposely try to do that, but I take it as a badge of honor. "I'm so flattered and, just being me, that it can inspire people to actually do something that is considered good, being a present, active father."
