ASAP Rocky Says He Regrets Mentioning Drake’s Baby Mama In Diss Verse

ASAP Rocky is finally opening up about one of the most talked-about lines from his Drake diss from 2025, and admits he wishes he handled it differently the Harlem rapper reflected on his verse from “Show of Hands,” his collaboration with Metro Boomin and Future off We Still Don’t Trust You, where he appeared to take a pointed shot at Drake amid their escalating tension. On the track, Rocky rapped: “N***as in they feelings over women. What, you hurt or somethin’? / I smash before you birthed, son, Flacko hit it first, son / Still don’ trust you, it’s always us, never them.” Many fans interpreted it as a reference to long-running rumors that Rocky had once been involved with Sophie Brussaux, the mother of Drake’s child. Now, Rocky says bringing a woman into the situation was a move he regrets. “I said what I said, and I shouldn’t have because it was petty,” Rocky admitted. “And I was being messy by putting another woman… saying something about another woman. That’s corny. he later realized the line probably crossed a boundary. “What I did, like, you feel me? I thought about it… I probably could have left that out, you know what I’m saying? But I just needed n****s to know,” he said. Akademiks pressed Rocky on whether he and Drake ever addressed their issues privately instead of letting things spill into music. “Of course,” Rocky said when asked if they’d spoken man-to-man. But when Akademiks questioned why it still ended up in the music, Rocky pointed to Drake taking alleged shots at his relationship.“I just told you, the n***a was talking about my broad, n***a,” he said. Rocky made it clear he no longer communicates directly with Drake, suggesting whatever friendship they once had faded years ago. “I don’t talk to that n***a who don’t got my number. What the fuck I’m talking to that weird n***a for?,” he said. When Akademiks noted they used to be close, Rocky agreed but said things changed unexpectedly. “I thought we was friends too,” he explained. “Next thing I know, n***as is throwing shots from like 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024. Be happy for a n***a, man. Chill out… Life don’t revolve around you.” Earlier in the interview, Rocky recalled Drake showing love in the past, even pulling up to Yams Day in 2020 and gifting him an ASAP Yams chain. At the time, Rocky was already with Rihanna, but he says that not long after that moment, subliminal disses from Drake started surfacing.
