Mariah Carey took another pregnant pause this weekend when she attended several star-studded events with husband Nick Cannon in tow.

While speaking to inquisitive reporters at the Independent Spirit Awards on Friday night, the singer revealed that "something special" is about to happen in her life.

Carey, who attended the award show to support her film 'Precious," has been dodging baby rumors for months now.

The 39-year-old diva said that she was "talking to a director about three movies."

She then teasingly added, "There's also something special on the way. I can’t say any more," reports the U.K.’s Mirror.

While at Sunday night’s Academy Awards, the singer fueled tabloid fodder by looking even more curvaceous than usual in a blue Valentino gown.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Carey passed on alcohol at the awards show, opting to drink water all night instead.

Though many are speculating Carey and Cannon are expecting, the singer’s rep told Gossip Cop that there is "no truth" to the rumors. Yet.
