New Jersey police issued a warrant for rapper Juelz Santana's arrest after he allegedly failed to pay thousands of dollars-worth of child support.
The state claims that the "There It Go" artist owes $28,491 to the mother of his 13-year-old son Laron Jr. after missing out on payments stemming from a 2013 court order, TMZ reports.
Santana — whose real name is LaRon Louis James — was reportedly ordered to pay $1,800 per month to take care of his son three years ago. It's unclear when he allegedly stopped making the payments.
The warrant for the 34-year-old Harlem native's arrest is currently active, according to the celebrity gossip site.
Santana reportedly owes his next payment on Dec. 16.
The rapper — a member of the rap group The Diplomats — has a history of run-ins with the law, most notably getting arrested in 2011 after New Jersey law enforcement found three ounces of marijuana, a pair of loaded handguns and ammunition in his Bergenfield, N.J., recording studio.
He was charged with possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, among other things, for the incident and posted $125,000 bail.
