Aretha Franklin has fallen ill once again.
The legendary singer was forced to cancel a slew of shows “due to doctors’ orders.”
The upcoming performances that she had to walk away from include an August 26 show at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts near Vienna Virginia and two New York shows at Radio City Music Hall. One of the schedule shows in New York was for “Tony Bennett Celebrates 90” on Sept. 15 and the other was a solo show on Sept. 23.
Despite the cancellations, the 74-year-old said she looks to get back to playing shows in November. She’s expected to perform at Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch, Minnesota on Nov. 11 and at the Chicago Theatre on Nov. 12.
This isn’t the first time recently Franklin has had to cancel shows. She was forced to walk away from a show in Las Vegas last year due to exhaustion. She has also had to battle many ailments in recent years, including surgeries and other illnesses.
