Andrew Tate’s Romania Homes Raided After Allegations Of Sexual Intercourse With Minors

Andrew Tate‘s homes have been raided in connection with allegations involving minors. DIICOT, a Romanian agency that investigates organized crime, raided the influencer’s home and issued a press release on Wednesday (Aug. 21). The organization stated that they searched four homes in connection with allegations of “sexual intercourse with a minor.”“The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism – Central Structure together with police officers from the Ilfov Organized Crime Service implemented 4 home search warrants within the Ilfov county and the Bucharest municipality,” the press release reads. It continues, “A criminal case regarding the commission of the crimes of forming an organized criminal group, trafficking in minors, trafficking in persons, sexual intercourse with a minor, influencing statements, and money laundering. DIICOT added that a hearing will be conducted later following the raid. Tate’s spokesperson confirmed the raid with the Associated Press and stated that the man’s legal team was present at the house during the raid. Andrew Tate’s spokesperson confirmed that the “charges in the search warrant are not yet fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering.” The businessman, né Emory Andrew Tate III, stated his own in the aftermath of his houses being raided. Tate uploaded a post to X/Twitter, where he proclaimed that “the Matrix is real. And they have a tried and true playbook. Slander is their number one tool and the process is the punishment.” Andrew Tate was first detained in December 2022 in connection to a human trafficking and rape case. Tate remained under the supervision of the Romanian police for months before they put the public figure on house arrest in March 2023. Forbes reports that the Romanian authorities then upgraded their charges against him to “human trafficking in continued form.” Law enforcement has since confiscated assets worth $3.9 million from Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate.
