David LaChapelle is accusing Rihanna of being a girl gone bad -- he is suing the pop star for ripping off eight off his photographs in the music video for her new song, "S&M".

The 22-year-old singer, whose video was shot by Melina Matsoukas, is being accused of lifting from the photographer "composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting."

"The music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works," said the court documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court released to the public on Monday.

The shots in question include an image in which RiRi dances while covered in newsprint, wears a pink balaclava against a blue background (as in LaChapelle's "Latex" image), dances in a multi-colored wallpapered room with a bound person on the floor (similar to the photographer's image, "Striped Farce") and walks a gossip blogger like a dog (LaChapelle took a similar photograph in 2002 for Vogue).

LaChapelle also claimed that Matsoukas was "asked by Rihanna or persons acting on her behalf to create a LaChapelle-esque music video," according to RadarOnline.com.

The 47-year-old photographer, whose work has appeared in magazines like Rolling Stone, GQ and Vanity Fair, is suing for unspecified damages.

"This is not personal, strictly business. Musicians commonly pay to sample music or use someone's beats and there should be no difference when 'sampling' artist's visuals," he told the gossip website. "I really like Riri - we've actually worked together before. I think about her everytime I'm caught in the rain without my umbrella."

"S&M" premiered on Feb 1 and has reportedly been banned in 11 countries due to its saucy content.

LaChapelle's rep had no comment on the suit, while Rihanna's rep did not return messages in time for print.
