AFTER SIGNING TO YMCMB FRED DURST WANTS TO GO SOLO!

With virtually no one still doing it all for the nookie, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has come out and admitted that the band was “a moment in time and it's over.”

The frontman of the ‘90s nu-metal group told Britain’s Kerrang! that Bizkit hasn’t toured their native U.S. since 2006.

“We’ve boycotted America for many years now,” he told the heavy metal news magazine. “The reason? We just don’t know what’s going on in America. It’s all about the new catchy thing and that’s always changing. America is driven by record sales. It’s the home of corporations. We’re just Limp Bizkit, so we don’t know how to do anything but Limp Bizkit.

“But here’s the deal: say in 2000, there were 35 million people who connected to this band. Twelve years later, lots of those people have moved on. We were a moment in time and it’s over.”

Maybe not completely over: Rapper Lil Wayne announced in March that Limp Bizkit had signed on to record label Cash Money.

As news of Durst’s comments spread across the Internet Friday, however, the band instantly became relevant again - becoming a topic trending high on Twitter. Fans apparently were panicking that the band was breaking up.

That was news to the band’s guitarist Wes Borland.

“LB has not called it quits,” Borland tweeted. “That article is insane. Thanks for your concerns, but we’re all good over here.”

Durst immediately retweeted his bandmates post.
