Adidas And Marvel Team Up For 'Avengers: Doomsday' Superstars

Adidas revealed a three shoe “Avengers: Doomsday” Superstar pack built around Ant Man, Shuri and Doctor Doom. adidas has not announced a release date or price, though the pack is reported to arrive alongside the film’s December premiere. adidas’s pack arrives as Robert Downey Jr. steps into the Doctor Doom role after more than a decade playing Iron Man, one of the more talked about castings in Avengers: Doomsday. adidas has not announced a price. adidas Superstar “Avengers: Doomsday” Pack Design The Ant Man Superstar reworks Paul Rudd’s hero in red patent leather with mini hexagonal panels that shift in size across the upper, set against a black base with silver serrated edges on the stripes. Ant Man’s face appears in silver on the tongue, with his “Pick On Someone Your Own Size” line printed on the insole. Shuri’s Superstar takes its cues from her Black Panther suit with textured black leather sides, gold detailing on the backtab and studs on the stripes that reference her vibranium necklace. Purple runs through the laces and outsole, with more character graphics on the tongue and insole. The Doctor Doom Superstar pairs black leather with a weathered grey metal finish on the stripes and backtab, both trimmed in metal studs. Doom’s signature green covers the tongue and inner lining, with his head stamped in silver and a “Doom Has No Rivals” line on the insole.Only three adidas Superstar styles, for Ant Man, Shuri and Doctor Doom, have surfaced so far.
