Check the wall, y’all!
A Tribe Called Quest is getting a mural on the side of Nu-Clear Cleaners at 19210 Linden Blvd. in Jamaica, Queens.
The Queens-based rap group, consisting of Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Jarobi White, and the late rapper Phife Dawg, will have their faces painted on the building by muralist Vince Ballentine, TMZ.com said.
Phife Dawg (born Malik Taylor) died March 22 at 45 after a long battle with diabetes.
The dry cleaner was featured in Tribe's 1991 video "Check The Rhime."
Shortly after Taylor's death, White asked fans on Facebook to sign a petition to rename St. Albans Park in Queens to Malik "Phife Dawg" Taylor Park.
According to the public appeal, the group would freestyle rap at the park before they became famous.
The goal is to get 11,000 people to sign. It currently has more than 10,480 signatures.
And Brooklyn might be getting a Biggie statue ….
