A MUSLIM GROUP IN CANADA IS CALLING FOR A BAN ON BURKA'S! SAY'S THEIR BEING FORCED TO WEAR THEM THERE!

TORONTO - A Muslim group in Canada is demanding a ban on burkas, saying women living there are being forced by the families to wear the head-to-toe robes.
"The burka has absolutely no place in Canada," said Farzana Hassan of the Muslim Canadian Congress. "In Canada, we recognize the equality of men and women. We want to recognize gender equality as an absolute. The burka marginalizes women."

Hassan blamed extremist Muslims for the traditional garment's rising popularity. A top Muslim authority in Egypt recently called for a ban on burkas - which allow only the eyes to show.
