Rapper A$AP Rocky has reached a deal with his ex-manager to drop their dueling lawsuits.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, A$AP (real name: Rakim Mayers) and his former manager, Eugene “Geno” Sim, informed the judge they are dismissing all claims against the other.
The documents note, “IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED AND AGREED, by and between the undersigned, the attorneys of record for Plaintiff Eugene Sims (“Plaintiff”) and Defendant Rakim Mayers (“Defendant”), that whereas no party hereto is an infant or incompetent person for whom a committee has been appointed and no person not a party has an interest in the subject matter of the action, the above-entitled action, be and the same hereby is discontinued, with prejudice and without costs or attorneys’ fees to either party as against the other. This stipulation may be filed without further notice with the Clerk of the Court.”
Back in 2015, A$AP (real name: Rakim Mayers) was sued by his former music manager over alleged unpaid commissions. His lawsuit originally sought details of $1.7 million from A$AP.
The rapper eventually counter-sued Sims accusing him of breaching their deal. He claimed his ex-manager had revealed details of his finances and personal life to third parties. As a result, he asked a judge to find their contract void and unenforceable. He sued demanding unspecified damages for the alleged breaches.
