50 Cent represented Queens and hip-hop well at Sunday's Hot 97 Summer Jam.
Not only did he perform some of his hit songs, but the rapper also reunited with G-Unit onstage.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the only thing causing a buzz among concertgoers.
Shortly after Fiddy was joined by fellow G-Unit members Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and even Young Buck — who he previously had a falling out with — to perform songs like "On Fire" and "So Seductive," a fight broke out onstage.
Being the professional that he is, 50 Cent continued performing without letting the scuffle distract him from what he was there to do.
"It's been a long time since I had the chance to come to the Summer Jam stage," he said.
The fight was reportedly started when Slow from Slowbucks was rejected by security as he made his way to join G-Unit onstage, reports XXL magazine.
Rapper Fabolous, who also reunited with 50 onstage after a previous beef, supposedly had to escort Slow off the stage as he tried to calm him down. Apparently, Slow has had problems with someone from 50's crew, which further ignited the tension.
During the altercation, members of Slowbucks were assaulted and had their chains snatched, AllHipHop.com reports.
Last month Slowbucks (who is a friend of 50′s) posted a photo with 50′s son Marquise and 50′s enemy Trav on Instagram. 50 allegedly saw the photo and made a comment, saying that the picture was a bad idea. You may remember last August 50 Cent and Trav got into a confrontation at the Mixshow Live Conference in Atlanta and Meek Mill had to break it up. Needless to say, 50 made good on his word.
During the Hot 97 Summer Jam Nas took to the stage and brought Meek Mill out as his special guest. Meek then brought out Slowbucks. Nas, keeping it New York, brought out 50 Cent, and that’s where Slowbucks and 50 Cent originally crossed paths.
According to sources 50 Cent, who was reuniting G-Unit for Summer Jam, had his crew beat up Slow Bucks and snatch his chain LIVE ON STAGE while 50 performed “Cuffing Season” alongside Fabolous. Unfazed, 50 continued his set & performed with Slowbuck’s chain on before Ebro cut his set short. And of course, 50 cussed Ebro out. Ouch!
So long story short, taking a pic with 50′s enemy and son at the same time is a bad idea and Meek Mill should really choose better friends. This is the second time he’s ended up on the wrong side of a 50 Cent beef. Third time if you count Rick Ross/Gunplay.
