2 Chainz New Album "B.O.A.T.S II" Moves 60,000 Units

Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz's new Based On A T.R.U. Story 2: Me Time album may be on store shelves but that's not stopping him from keeping the promotion going and announcing the project's next single.

According to Chainz himself, he will rely on the Mannie Fresh-produced "Used 2" to keep the album excitement pumping.

2 Chainz is coming off a huge promotional run for B.O.A.T.S. II: #METIME. After gaining attention from his single "Feds Watching" featuring Pharrell, Chainz has officially announced "Used 2" will serve as his next single. The track is produced by Mannie Fresh and features him paying homage to Juvenile's flow on "Back That Azz Up." (XXL Mag)
Deuce recently pointed out the Mannie record was his album's standout track.

"If I had to choose my biggest single off this album, it would probably be the Mannie Fresh record. I feel like we had some type of chemistry and brought back that old feeling," Chainz said in an interview. "The process of being in the studio with a hip-hop producer, legends like DJ Toomp and Mannie Fresh, it was a very comfortable thing for me. I've had a relationship with those guys for years. My relationship with Mannie Fresh lasts as long as my relationship with Lil Wayne but actually just working on a project or my album is something we've never done before. He came to my spot in Atlanta for a couple of days and he made the beat right in front of me on the iPad." (Civil TV)
Asked about the importance of putting up strong opening week numbers a few days ago, Chainz said there are two ways to look at sales.

"Of course I care. I'm still gon' grind it out. If it does 50k, I'll probably be mad as hell and do something like buy another car, make myself feel better. But at the same time, I know it's a race and if anybody know me, it's hard to really get me down, get me discouraged. I'm very optimistic." ("The Breakfast Club")
He also briefly touched on the perception of not having enough promotion for his sophomore effort.

"You don't want to get into becoming angry rapper mode, pointing fingers at different people. I'm still confident in word of mouth as far as marketing and advertising. ... I'm kinda like on some laidback, humble stuff right now 'cause I really think I outdid myself on this album." ("The Breakfast Club")

How the f**k 2 Chainz only moved 60,000 units?
