15-Year-Old Girl Trying To Kill Herself Slams Into A Train

A 15-year-old girl tried to kill herself by jumping on the subway tracks in Brooklyn Monday morning, but she survived after mistiming her leap and slamming into the side of the train, police said.

The 9:17 a.m. incident happened at the 53rd St. station along the R line in Sunset Park.

The teen was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center.

She is in stable condition and is expected to recover from her injuries.
