Wendy Williams Announces Return To Her Talk Show

Wendy Williams is returning to TV.

Williams, 54, has been on hiatus from “The Wendy Williams Show” since December but will finally return to host on Monday, March 4.

“Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in daytime,” the show’s production company, Debmar-Mercury, said in a statement on Thursday. “We can’t wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of her show …”

The statement continued, “We so appreciate all of the guest hosts and panelists who filled in for Wendy during this time. These people are, and always will be, true family to the show. And we want to thank all of the loyal and supportive fans who have been with us for 10 years now.”

Williams took a hiatus from her eponymous morning show to treat her Graves’ disease. She was hospitalized long-term but then was spotted out with a friend at CVS in Florida. Rumors about her husband’s alleged infidelity and abuse swirled as her absence continued. While she was taking care of herself, Nick Cannon, Michael Rapaport, Jerry O’Connell and more guests filled in for her as hosts.

While Cannon filled in for Williams, he provided fans with an emotional update.

“She said she wanted to speak as a family unit and her, [her husband] Kevin and [her son] Little Kevin, they said they are all good,” Cannon shared. “The love and the passion is still there because that’s what you need in times like this … is for your family to stick together with you.”

Williams also broke her silence on Thursday to thank her team.

“Salute to Debmar-Mercury for believing from the start and thanks to my staff for tirelessly holding it down for me,” Williams added in a separate statement.
