YG Arrested In Las Vegas For Felony Robbery Charges

YG has reportedly turned himself in to Las Vegas authorities after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Thursday (July 12). He was charged with a felony robbery, but was released after posting $20,000 bail. The arrest stems from a chain snatching incident at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas back in May, according to TMZ.

The Compton-bred rapper was reportedly approached by a fan who wanted a picture. Following YG and his crew's refusal, the man allegedly began berating the 28-year-old MC with insults. The report goes on to allege that he called YG "not a real celebrity." The Stay Dangerous spitter retaliated by yanking the male's chain right off his neck.

After a physical skirmish ensued, TMZ continues to claim that YG picked up the necklace medallion straight off the floor before fleeing the scene, according to surveillance footage. The chain is estimated to be valued between $3,000 and $9,000. The alleged victim is the same person who sued YG back in June for theft, robbery, assault, and is looking for $250,000 in damages.

YG is gearing up to release his highly anticipated Stay Dangerous LP on Aug. 3.
