Z-Ro Arrested For Aggravated Assault

On Wednesday, Houston rapper Joseph McVey "Z-Ro" was arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a family member.

Police arrested McVey after his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Bullock, filed a complaint with the Harris County Sheriff's Office about an incident she claims occurred in April near West Side Forest in the Katy area. Bullock backed up her claim with a 20-minute recording of the alleged assault.

According to the complaint, on April 29, Bullock arrived at McVey's residence to discuss the canceling of a dinner date.

Upon her arrival, Bullock claims McVey began to slap, punch and drag her throughout the residence while holding a pistol.

She told police the attack lasted roughly an hour and a half and said she was assaulted so many times "she eventually got sick and threw up."

At one point, Bullock asked to go to the restroom, where she began recording with her phone. The alleged assault continued once she left the restroom.

Police said they could hear McVey state "you're dead" in the recording as well as sounds that appeared to be slapping.

Police also heard Bullock state "why did you just push me" and "get your fu**ing hands from around my neck." They also heard Bullock crying and asking McVey to stop.

McVey is being held without bond.

Both McVey and Bullock, better known as "Just Brittany," have collaborated in the past. She appeared in a music video with McVey last December.
