The experiment featured in this video was conducted by Dr. de Waal of Emory University and presented at a TED Talk. Dr. de Waal is famous for researching the social intelligence of animals and this particular experiment investigates the reaction of a Capuchin monkey when “paid” unequally for completing the same task. The monkeys receive a piece of either cucumber or a grape, grapes being the more desirable option, in exchange for handing the scientists a rock. Did the monkey mind being paid less for the same work?
