Wyclef Denies Working With Amanda Bynes Crazy A$$

Rumors are swirling that Amanda Bynes will launch her singing career with the potential help of some pretty big names in music — but Wyclef Jean won't be one of them.

The former Fugees hit maker made clear that he has no intentions of joining forces with the embattled actress. According to TMZ, a rep for Jean, 43, shot down rumors that the two were working on releasing an album — adding that they've never even met or spoken.

Bynes, 27, was recently offered a record deal from New York-based music group Chinga Chang Records, after she announced plans to launch a music career.

Chinga Chang CEO Daniel Herman reportedly tried to set up a meeting between Bynes with Jean.

“Linking the two of them will be something major," he told The Huffington Post — adding that Jean was “receptive” to talks with the actress.

"She's phenomenal, and that's the crazy thing about this.”

Herman previously talked enthusiastically about the chance of signing Bynes.

"I see someone like Amanda Bynes and I know she has talent," he said. "I grew up with Nick and the orange couch. I know she has talent. I've heard her sing when she was younger. I wanna get her in the cutting room in NYC and see what she has."

Other musicians signed to Chinga Chang include hip-hop stars Kool G Rap and Rakim.

Bynes apparently had a better offer.

"I never spoke to anyone at Chinga Changa Records,” she tweeted on Wednesday. “ I got an offer for a bigger record deal that I'm taking as soon I get my surgeries!"

At least she’s serious about her music.

The actress also turned down the chance to host an hour-long Playboy radio show.

"I want to [do the show]," she told TMZ. "But I can't because I'm recording an album! I'll go on their show for an interview when I'm promoting my album."
