WTF! BROOKLYN MAN KICKED OFF A FLIGHT FOR CURSING!

It may be the first time a plane was diverted over an F-bomb scare.

Robert Sayegh, a 37-year-old TV producer from Brooklyn, says he was booted off a Newark-bound flight Sunday after a male flight attendant overheard him curse during a lengthy Detroit layover.

After waiting for 45 minutes for the overhead compartments to be closed on Atlantic Southeast Airlines Flight 5136, Sayegh asked out loud what was causing the hold up - using a saltier turn of phrase.

"I never directed it at anybody, I was just kind of saying it because it was just annoying that we were waiting that long," Sayegh told the News.

The plane had started to taxi towards the runway, but returned to the gate.

"I couldn't believe he was making a big to-do about what I had said," says Sayegh. "So I asked the girl behind me if I was getting thrown off this plane and she said, 'I think you are.'"

Airport police escorted Sayeugh, who also writes children's books such as the upcoming "Secret Origins of Mirrors," off the plane - but didn't charge him.

"The Delta Airlines representative came out and bit her lip and said, 'I think [flight attendant] might have overreacted,'" says Sayegh.

The airline put him on the next flight two hours later.

"Atlantic Southeast is conducting an investigation of the incident that occurred on Delta Connection Flight 5136," a representative of the airline said in a statement.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

At first Sayegh says he contemplated suing the airline, but now he just wants to put the incident behind him.

"I understand playing it safe, but you have to determine who's a threat to the airline and who's just frustrated," says Sayegh. "I totally understand the sensitivity and the nature of post-9/11 [security,] but it was way over the top."

I remember the pilot told me I couldn't get on the plane for cussing out a flight attendent for being disrespectful! Good thing that was before 9/11 because I definately couldn't fly! Lol!
