Woman Sues Over Parking Lot Slip And Fall Injury At Beyoncé/Jay-Z Concert

A woman claims she suffered a terrible fall in the parking lot of the Rose Bowl after a Beyoncé/Jay-Z concert last year and now she's suing the venue over the incident.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a woman named Sara Vahabi claims she attended the concert, part of the mega-couple's On the Run II tour, back on September 23, 2018.

Vahabi claims she was walking through the parking lot after the show to return to the bag-check area. She says the venue required her to leave her handbag at the bag-check tent before entering the Rose Bowl.

As she made her way to the tent, Vahabi claims that "due to poor, inadequate and insufficient lighting" she tripped and fell over a parked car stop. As a result of the injury, she sustained an injury to her right hand and elbow that required surgery.

Vahabi claims she has "already incurred substantial medical and surgical expenses" and will continue to do.

She claims the venue "failed to have properly lit the area of the parking lot or to clearly and properly mark the car stop components causing a dangerous hazardous condition that caused" her to fall.

Vahabi is suing the City of Pasadena (where the Rose Bowl is located) as well as the Rose Bowl Operating Company — Beyoncé and Jay-Z are not named in the lawsuit at all.

She is suing for premises liability and negligence, among other claims, and seeking unspecified damages.

Bey and Jay's OTR II tour began on June 6, 2018 and ran through October 4, 2018.
