Video: Pregnant Woman Rides On The Hood Of SUV For A Mile In Fight With Her Baby Father

A pregnant woman hung on to the hood of an SUV driven by her baby’s father for a mile on a Houston highway during a fight Wednesday, according to reports.

The 31-year-old woman, who is about eight months pregnant, survived without serious injury to herself or the unborn child after she fell off the car on the Gulf Freeway around 1 p.m., Houston police told the Houston Chronicle.

The man driving the car, identified by cops as the heavily tattooed Anthony Escobedo, 33, now faces assault charges.

A video obtained by KHOU-TV shows his ex-girlfriend clutching one of the car’s windshield wipers and holding on for dear life as the car stops and starts.

Escobedo hit speeds of 25 to 30 mph with her on the hood as he drove on the busy stretch of Interstate 45 in southeastern Houston, according to witness accounts cited by the Chronicle.

The woman and Escobedo argued Wednesday after she saw him parked in her friend’s 2015 Kia Sorento with another woman. Escobedo had snatched the keys from his ex-girlfriend’s nearby motel room, police said.

The woman told investigators she grabbed ahold of the windshield wiper to keep him from leaving in her friend's car but he drove on to the Gulf Freeway anyway. She fell off near Broadway after almost a mile, and a passing driver picked her up and drove her to a gas station, where they dialed 911.

The woman received treatment for scrapes and cuts on her hands and feet at an area hospital, the Chronicle reported. The unborn child wasn't harmed. Police arrested Escobedo Wednesday afternoon, and he was charged with misdemeanor assault of a family member.
