Tyler Perry Is Done Playing Madea

Cross-dressing Tyler Perry, so rich he owns most of Atlanta, is done playing Madea. This 11th is his (and her) last. “Tyler Perry’s a Madea Family Funeral” is burying the cash cow.

Tyler: “I’ve made my last Madea. It made so many people laugh, but turning 50 I don’t want to be her age playing her.”

About funeral fun being fitting for a finale, he says: “Look, nothing’s funnier than stuff that happens at a black funeral. Who’d let Madea plan a nice burial? And with a Beyoncé hat on? If you’re looking for ‘Schindler’s List,’ this ain’t it. I just want to make people laugh.”

“Funeral” opens March 1. You can wear black. Tyler’s rolling in green.
