Rick Ross Named In Lawsuit Claiming His Bodyguard Drugged And Raped A Woman

Rap mogul Rick Ross has been named in a new lawsuit claiming his bodyguard drugged and raped a woman in February.

The alleged victim, identified only as Jane Doe in the filing, claims she first met hired muscle Thaddeus James back in March 2013 and was pursuing a job with Ross when the sexual assault took place this year.

In her court paperwork, she says James - who also goes by the first name Nadrian and nickname "Black" - met her at a W Hotel in Los Angeles on February 7 and invited her to ride with him and Ross in a private van to a marijuana convention called Cannabis Cup in neighboring San Bernardino.

The woman said Ross performed at the event, and she was asked by James to procure champagne and glasses for the entertainer backstage.

She said it was in the van on the way back to Los Angeles that James offered her some liquor but "turned away" while pouring.

"It is at this time that defendant (James) drugged plaintiff's beverage," the lawsuit alleges.

The woman says she blacked out for the rest of the ride and was ushered to James' hotel room while "completely disoriented."

She claims she finally regained consciousness the next morning in James' hotel room, noticed her clothes were out of place and found evidence she had been raped and sodomized.

According to the lawsuit, the woman has "flashes of memory of what happened that night," including fleeting memories of James closing the door, being next to her in the bed and "smacking her buttocks."

She quickly reported the incident to two friends who separately told her not to contact police because she didn't clearly recall what happened, the paperwork states.

The woman then fled to Texas to be with her sister and eventually told her relatives and contacted police, the lawsuit says.

Because the woman left southern California in such a rush, she has not yet laundered the clothes she wore the day of the alleged assault, so they still "contain DNA evidence of the rape," the lawsuit states.

The lawsuit names Ross and his Maybach Music Group as defendants, arguing they hired James and then "fostered an environment in which drugs and rape were not only tolerated and condoned but encouraged."

The new action was filed by lawyer Okorie Okorocha, who previously took on actor John Travolta with claims he sexually assaulted male masseurs.

The anonymous male masseurs later withdrew the claims.

Okorocha's latest lawsuit naming Ross was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday and makes claims of sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, false imprisonment, sexual harassment and violation of civil rights.

It is seeking general and punitive damages to be decided at trial.

Attempts to reach a rep for Ross were not immediately successful Monday.

Ross raps a line in the song "U.O.E.N.O" that boasts about secretly slipping a drug to a woman before sex.

"Put Molly all in her champagne/She ain't even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that/She ain't even know it," he raps, referring to the drug MDMA.
