Chicago rapper Fredo Santana died on Friday after suffering from a seizure.

He was 27.

Santana, who had previously admitted to being addicted to lean, was reportedly discovered dead on the floor of his home around 11:30 p.m. by his girlfriend, family members told TMZ. Seizures are a comment side effect to lean consumption.

The “Dope Game” rapper was hospitalized recently for liver and kidney problems, which he was suffering from for several months, according to gossip site.

Santana, whose real name is Derrick Coleman, is the cousin of fellow Chicago rapper, Chief Keef. Keef did not directly comment on Santana's death, but did call out the media for referring to him as just a friend.

"Stop saying Fredo was my friend," he wrote on Twitter Saturday afternoon. "That’s my cousin, Big difference."

Keef also went on to retweet several images of him with his cousin.

The rapper has roots in Chicago, but was reportedly living in L.A.

He released his first mixtape, "It's a Sacry Site" in 2012, which featured King L, Lil Durk, Lil Reese and Chief Keef. Santana's only album was in 2013, titled "Trappin Ain't Dead," which featured Kendrick Lamar on "Jealous." Last year, he released two additional mixtapes, called "Plugged In" and "Fredo Kruger 2."

Santana reportedly had an 8-month-old son, according to TMZ.

Countless people were shocked and saddened at the news of his death on social media.

Rapper Action Bronson tweeted “RIP FREDO MAN” on Saturday morning, while actor, writer and rapper Andy Milonakis said Chief Keef was going to need a lot of support in the wake of the tragedy.

“RIP Fredo Santana f--kkkk man, @ChiefKeef is going to need a lot of love and support, Fredo was his number 1," Milonakis wrote.

Drake shared an image of himself with the artist, writing "Rest In Peace Santana."

Lil B The Based God also weighed in on the tragedy.

“Let one off in the air for fredo santana !!” he wrote. “For life they cudnt stop that man SSR for life CHICAGO for life Chief Keef chop durk Reese Gino sd the whole Chicago what it do joe we living it up joe Chicago joe for life too fredo.”

Hundreds of other fans expressed their shock on the web, writing messages like “when the f did Santan pass.”

“Fredo Santana was really my idol fr man,” one user shared. “That s--t crazy smh.”

Three months ago, Santana had shared an image of himself in a hospital room with the caption: “Been in here since Friday doctor say a n---a had kidney failure an liver failure I'm getting back to normal sorry to all my fans turbo bandana will not be dropping tomorrow due to my health issues thanks for everyone who prayed for a n---a I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy.”

Lean, also known as “purple drank” is a combination of prescription cough medicine, soft drinks and hard, fruit-flavored candy.

Lil Wayne suffered from three seizures in four weeks back in 2016 due to his history of using the dangerous drug cocktail, lean.

Karrueche Tran wrote in a now-deleted tweet Saturday morning, "LEAN IS WEAK AF #lame #corny #sorrynotsorry" and almost immediately faced a slew of backlash for her remarks.

Shortly after, Tran, 29, took to Twitter to apologize for the tweet.
