IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Chris Brown is wearing his heart on his, er, necklace!?
The shamed R&B singer has kept rather quiet after pleading guilty in June to assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

But what Brown isn't saying in words, he's saying in jewelry.

The 20-year-old singer was recently spotted wearing a new $300,000 necklace with the word "Oops!" hanging from a chain while attending the after-party to Diddy's "Malaria No More" White Party in Los Angeles.

The pricey piece of bling was created by jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills and was said to be Brown's idea to sport something unapologetically bold, reports TheYBF.com.

"Chris has been a client of mine for some time now," the jeweler said. "It's always a pleasure to work him because it gives me a chance to be creative. He came to me with a great idea and I am very pleased with the finished product."

Brown may think the flashy, diamond-encrusted pendant, which reportedly took 218 hours to complete, is his way of issuing a public apology, but we're not buying it.

"Oops" is something you say when bumping into someone on the street, not after repeatedly punching your girlfriend in the face.

Instead of apologizing with an expensive piece of trend jewelry, how about actually saying the word "sorry," Chris?
