Lil Wayne Accuses Cash Money And Universal Of Preventing Him From Getting Money Off Drake

There's a new development in the Lil Wayne v. Cash Money Records battle.

In case you missed it, last year, Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, the parent company of Cash Money Records, claiming that it was withholding money owed to him for his Young Money signings Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.

Weezy then sued Birdman for $51 million citing an array of alleged financial mishandling (including failure to pay owed advance money and royalties stemmed from a 2012 deal) and the delay of his long-awaited album Tha Carter V.

Now, it is being reported that Wayne believes both parties conspired against him to cheat the rapper out of millions.

According to TMZ, "Wayne's lawyer Howard King has filed documents, claiming that Cash Money and Universal Music Group backdated a deal, making it seem like it was signed before Young Money's deal ran out."

The documents allege that Universal knew that backdating the deals would prevent Wayne from profiting from his Young Money artists.
