Lil Baby & Drake's 'Yes Indeed' Hits No. 1 On Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart

The collaboration is Drake’s fifth No. 1 of 2018, tying 2010 and 2016 as the most fruitful years.

For the third time this year, Drake knocks himself from No. 1 slot on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart. His collaboration with Lil Baby, “Yes Indeed,” climbs 3-1 on the chart (dated Aug. 25) to evict “In My Feelings” from the penthouse after two weeks. “Indeed” makes the move thanks to a 12 percent boost in plays in the week ending Aug. 19, according to Nielsen Music.

Previously in 2018, Drake completed an uninterrupted trifecta of No. 1 hits. His “God’s Plan” reigned for nine weeks beginning Feb. 24 before he lost the top rank to BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive,” on which Drake features. “Alive” led for three weeks until it ceded the summit to “Nice for What,” a nine-week champ.

“Indeed” gives Lil Baby his first No. 1 on the chart.

With five No. 1s secured in 2018, Drake matches his 2011 and 2016 outputs for the second-best sum of chart-toppers on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop in a calendar year. Only Lil Wayne has scored more in a single year, with six leaders in 2011.

“Indeed” also improves on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, as it steps 4-3. It surges 10 percent to cross the 30 million weekly audience mark for the first time.
