Kevin Hart Is The Second-Highest-Paid Comedian In The World

Kevin Hart may be out of the Oscars, but he’s not out of a fortune.

Hart, 39, came in second on Forbes’ World’s Highest-Paid Comedians of 2018 list, with total earnings of $57 million.

He came in just $500,000 behind reigning king of comedy Jerry Seinfeld. Seinfeld has topped the list every year since it began in 2006, with the exception of 2016, when Hart raked in more money.

Hart earlier this month stepped down from his gig hosting the Academy Awards after a series of homophobic tweets he posted years ago emerged. His replacement has still not been announced.

Seinfeld, 64, recently came to Hart’s defense over his falling-out with the Academy, saying: “Kevin is in a position because he’s a brilliant comedian to kind of decide what he wants to do. He doesn’t have to step down, but he can.”
