Kenya Moore Addresses Pregnancy Complication

Kenya Moore revealed Saturday she and husband Marc Daly may welcome their first child sooner than expected, due to a pregnancy complication.

Taking to Instagram, the Bravo personality posted a photo of her swollen feet, detailing the potential cause in the caption.

“I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal,” the mom-to-be explained.

Preeclampsia is described as a “pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure and signs of damage to another organ system, most often the liver and kidneys,” according to the Mayo Clinic, which also notes that the condition “usually begins after 20 weeks of pregnancy in women whose blood pressure had been normal.”

Symptoms of preeclampsia can include severe headaches, nausea, impaired liver function and upper abdominal pain.

“To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors #babydaly #highrisk #love #family #miraclebaby #kenyamoore #babybump #pregnantover40,” the 47-year-old penned.

Since confirming her pregnancy in April, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum has brought fans along for the ride. In June, Moore shared one of her first ultrasounds on social media. She later claimed to weigh 200 pounds in September.
