KANYE WEST CALLS TAYLOR SWIFT TO PERSONALLY APOLOGIZE!

Country singer Taylor Swift and Kanye West have made up.
The rapper personally phoned the pretty blonde Tuesday morning to apologize for his outburst during her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.

The conversation took place at the ABC's "The View" studios, shortly after the 19-year-old first spoke publicly about the Sunday night incident, admitting being rattled by West's outburst.

"During Taylor Swift's appearance today on ABC's "The View" Kanye West phoned the ABC The View studio," ABC said in a statement. "After the show he spoke personally to the country music superstar via telephone and apologized to the 19-year-old singer. She has accepted Mr. West's apology."

The contents of the phone call have not been released but during her appearance on "The View," Swift said: "I'm not going to say I wasn't rattled by it, but I had to perform live five minutes later so I had to get myself back to the place where I could perform."

Kanye jumped onto the Radio City Music Hall stage as Swift was midway through accepting her award for Best Music Video. The hip-hop star snatched the microphone from her hand and told the audience he thought Beyonce should have won instead.

"I think my overall thought process was 'Wow, I can't believe I won, this is awesome ... don't trip and fall, Oh, Kanye West is here ... cool haircut, what are you doing here?'" Swift said. "And then, 'Ouch', and then 'I guess I'm not going to get to thank fans.'"

Kanye outburst was met with widespread condemnation, with President Obama even inadvertently weighing in and calling the singer a "jackass." Obama's comment was said in an off-the-record portion of an MSNBC interview that was tweeted - and later deleted - by ABC news reporter Terry Moran.

To try to salvage his reputation, Kanye made a public apology on the premiere of Jay Leno's primetime show Monday night, where he appeared to almost break down when asked what his deceased mother would have thought of his antics.

"I'm just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt," he told Leno. "I don't try to justify it because I was just in the wrong, period."

"It was rude," he added. "I'd like to be able to apologize to her in person."

Swift, wearing a shiny blue and gold strapless dress and gold stiletto heels, told "The View" ladies she did learn one thing from the whole ordeal.

"I just never imagined that there were that many people out there looking out for me," she said, and also revealed she has just bought her first condo.
